Happy Friday! We made it through a very long short week, if you know what I mean.
I’m asking your advice today; this time, for our breakfast room.
When we built the shed, we put it right by one of the windows in our breakfast room. While useful, the shed is not that attractive. I’d like to put a shade or curtains over that window so we don’t always have to see the side of the shed (say that five times fast!). That would then officially finish the shed project.
To pick a window covering, I need help picking a color scheme. There are two choices. Right now, our breakfast room has a black and white rug and the curtains I made from the dining room:
If I stick with the black and white color scheme, then I’m thinking about this fabric for the window:
And then the breakfast room would look (roughly) like this:
I like the black and white. It’s fun and playful and different from the other colors in my house.
Here’s option 2:
This is how the breakfast room looked right after we renovated the kitchen. Note the rug, which has reddish-brown in it, but also blue and green, which ties in with our kitchen.
I love the curtains with the rug (as explained here).
So, if I go with the reddish scheme, then I need different window coverings – maybe just more of the red and white curtains for that window.
OK – now it’s your turn. What do you think? Black and white? Or red all over? (Get it? Ha.)
