Wow – it’s been quite a week here at Dogs Don’t Eat Pizza HQ. And I want to tell you all about it.
So, I was going to write a post
About how I had pink eye.
About how then I had to have a wisdom tooth pulled and it was worse than expected.
About how we had to reschedule my son’s birthday party and then, when we did have it, one child threw up all over the living room rug and the entry to our bedroom.
About how I spent most of the day Sunday cleaning and disinfecting everything.
About how the pink eye came back.
About how I am totally overwhelmed with work and getting my papers done and balancing that with everything else.
But I’m not going to write that post. You don’t want to hear all that.
Instead, I’m going to tell you that:
Other than the pink eye and a little bit of swelling in my gums, I am healthy.
I am immensely grateful that the rest of my family is healthy.
I’m grateful that we can afford to buy another rug to replace the living room rug that got ruined.
I am grateful we have a roof over our heads.
I am grateful for antibiotics and Lysol and our high-capacity washer and dryer.
I am grateful that, after spending Sunday cleaning, I got to have a fabulous, fun date night with Dear Husband for his belated birthday celebration.
I am grateful that I have a little more time to get my papers done.
That’s the post I’m gonna write.
Thanks for stopping by.
